Canscreen.io – AI-Powered Candidate Screening Platform

As part of SABAH.HUB’s venture studio, I authored the idea for Canscreen.io and led its early-stage development — from identifying hiring inefficiencies to building the MVP and preparing the venture for fundraising.
- Problem:
- Traditional recruitment wasted significant time and resources: 300+ CVs/day, less than 8 seconds per CV, 50% candidate no-shows, and ~6 hours wasted per hire.
- ATS systems mainly filtered for keywords and hard skills, failing to capture cultural compatibility or soft-skill alignment.
- Companies lacked an efficient, unbiased, and scalable way to pre-screen candidates.
- Solution:
- Ideated Canscreen.io as an AI-powered asynchronous video interviewing platform.
- Developed the MVP in 4 months, releasing prototypes, beta tests, and pre-sales.
- Designed customizable algorithms analyzing both verbal and non-verbal cues, enabling fairer and faster candidate scoring — including insights into cultural and behavioral fit.
- Defined pricing models and market entry strategy for mass-hiring companies in CIS and MENA.
- Impact:
- Secured $200K pre-seed funding (Aloqa Venture & SABAH.fund).
- Built a sales pipeline that acquired 15 enterprise clients, generating $15,000 MRR.
- Positioned the startup with a clear roadmap, aiming for $120K ARR by the end of the year.
